Catchup controls and video tiles

Catchup controls and video tiles

Catchup video tiles in Vani are designed to help you collaborate without getting in the way of your canvas. You can move them, resize them, and place them anywhere, so you can talk and work at the same time.

Turn video or audio on/off

You can mute yourself or turn off your video at any time during a Catchup:

  • Click the mic icon to mute or unmute.

  • Click the camera icon to show or hide your video.

When the video is off, your profile picture will appear instead.

Resize and move tiles

  • Use the resize handle on the bottom-right of the tile to adjust its size.

  • Drag tiles outside the Catchup pane to place them anywhere on the Space.

  • To move the tiles back to the pane, click the Back to pane icon on the tile.

Minimize or maximize the Catchup pane

If the Catchup pane overlaps your content:

  • Click the Minimize icon to collapse it. Only the active speaker's tile will be shown.

  • Click Maximize to bring the tiles back.

Speaker indication and tile limits

  • The video tile of the person currently speaking will be highlighted.

  • A maximum of 10 active video tiles are shown at once. Others will appear as profile pictures until they begin speaking.
