Here are answers to some of the most common questions about using Spaces in Vani.
1. Why can't I edit anything in a Space?
Check your access level in the Space. Only Owners, Organizers, and Editors can make changes. If you’ve been added as a Commenter or Viewer, you will not be able to edit the content.
2. Why can’t I share a Space?
Only Owners and Organizers can share a Space or change its access settings. Editors, Commenters, and Viewers do not have sharing access.
3. How do I return to the listing page from a Space?
Click the drop-down arrow near the Vani logo at the top left corner of the page and click Go to All Spaces to return to your list of Spaces.
4. Will changes in a duplicated Space affect the original Space?
No. When you duplicate a Space or a Zone, you’re creating a copy that is separate from the original. Changes made in one will not affect the other.
5. Is there a limit to the number of Zones in a Space?
Yes. The limits are:
Free Plan: Up to 3 Zones per Space
Team Plan: Up to 15 Zones per Space
6. What happens when I delete a Space?
Deleted Spaces and Zones are moved to the Trash, where they are stored for 30 days. During this time, you can restore them or permanently delete them. After 30 days, they’ll be removed automatically.
Yes. Anyone with access to a Space can duplicate it for personal use. However, the duplicated version will not include Spacemates or comments from the original Space.
8. Can I change which Zones someone can access?
Yes. If you're an Owner or Organizer, you can manage Zone access for each Spacemate from the Collaborator pane. This lets you share only specific parts of your Space with different people.
9. Can I track who made changes in a Space?
No. Vani’s version history shows what changes were made in a Zone and lets you restore or compare past versions, but it doesn’t track who made each change.
10. Can I move a Zone from one Space to another?
Yes. If you're an Owner or Organizer, you can move any Zone into a new or existing Space using the Move to option in the Zone menu.
Yes. You can embed a Space in platforms that support it. Simply open the Collaborator pane, enable embedding, and copy the embed code.
