How to access Quick Access Toolbar, Format Options and Pop-up menu for any object on Vani?

Select 

You can select an object by clicking it. To select multiple objects, click and drag the selection box over the objects.

 

Quick Access Toolbar 

The Quick Access Toolbar appears whenever an object is selected.






The options it provides vary according to the type of object selected. Some of the standard options available include: 

  • Add Pin

  • Add Comment

  • Insert Hyperlink

  • Add Reaction

You can find more options for formatting an object Format Options by clicking the More option. This will shift some of the options from the QAT to the Format Options pane. These options will appear back in QAT when you minimize the Format Options.

Other than the options provided in the Quick Access Toolbar, you can find more format options for certain objects by clicking More in the QAT. This will open Format Options.

These options also differ according to the object being selected. However, there are some standard options available, including:

  • Group or Ungroup objects

  • Align objects

  • Move layers forward/backward

  • Distribute objects

  • Flip

  • Rotate

  • Change Width

  • Change Height

You can close Format Options by clicking the Minimize Format option in the top-right corner of the pane.

Right-click anywhere on the Space or any object to open the pop-up menu.

The menu provides frequently used options, such as: 

  • Cut

  • Copy

  • Paste

  • Duplicate

  • Delete

  • Copy link to selection

  • Group

  • Download as PNG/PDF

  • Arrange

These options vary for every object. You can also access the Hand tool and paste options when you right-click on an empty area.

 Download as an image or as a PDF 

You can download any object or any given area as an image or as a PDF.

This can be useful when you want to share only a part of a Space with others through other apps or platforms–from flowcharts to tables to a whole brainstorming session can be downloaded.


To download objects as images/PDFs, right-click the objects you want to download and open the pop-up menu. Once it opens, click PNG or PDF to download the objects as an image or a PDF, respectively.

To download a part of the Space as an image or as a PDF, go to the menu on the top bar, and select either Image or PDF from Download.

A selection box will appear; you can select the area you want to download manually or go with one of the default sizes available and click Download.
