Connector

Connector

A connector helps you visually map relationships between objects in your Space. You can connect elements such as shapes, text boxes, images, GIFs, and Sticky Notes. Once connected, objects remain attached even if you move or resize them, making it easier to maintain neat layouts, workflows, or diagrams.

Resizing Connectors

Connectors help link shapes, sticky notes, and other elements in your Space. You can stretch or shorten connectors to create clear relationships between elements.

To resize or stretch a connector:
  1. Select the connector you want to modify.

  2. Click and drag either endpoint to extend or shorten the connector.

  3. Adjust its angle or direction by moving the endpoints to new positions.

When a connector is not linked to any objects, both ends can be freely adjusted by dragging.

If the ends of a connector are attached to objects, its length and direction will adjust automatically as you move the connected elements.

If only one end is connected to an element, the end without any connection can be resized manually by dragging it.

This behavior ensures connectors remain dynamic and responsive, keeping your diagrams aligned and visually consistent as you move or adjust elements within your Space.

Connecting objects

Connector points
When you select an object, small circles called connector points appear along its edges. Drag a connector point and attach it to any spot on another object to create a connection.

Connect two existing objects

  1. Select the first object.
  2. Drag a connector point toward the second object.
  3. Drop it at the exact spot on the second object where you want them to connect.

Connect an existing object to a new object

  1. Select an object and click or drag from one of its connector points.
  2. Drop the object where you want the new object to appear.
  3. The options menu will open. You can choose from shapes, text styles, images, or just duplicate the previous object
  4. The new object will automatically be connected to the original one.

Connector styles
You can customize a connector’s appearance to match your diagram or workflow.

To change a connector’s style:

  1. Select the connector.
  2. In the right toolbar, click Format.
  3. Expand the Format Options panel to see all style settings.

Adding text on connectors

Double-click a connector to add text to it. You can also add text to a connector from the format options.

This will be especially useful when drawing flowcharts and diagrams.
