Grids in Vani help you structure and organize content inside a Space. They are tables that help you arrange information clearly, compare data side by side, or build structured layouts for projects and workflows.

- Use the available options to add rows or columns at your preferred location in the grid.
Resizing Grids
Grids can be resized to improve clarity within your Space. Adjusting the grid size helps maintain readability and structure, especially when working with large tables or structured layouts.
To resize a grid:
Select the grid.
Click and drag any edge or corner handle to adjust the overall grid size.
You can also modify Row Height and Column Width individually from the Format panel under the Grid section.
When resizing, the grid scales smoothly while preserving cell proportions and content arrangement.
To customize the style and layout of a grid:
- Select the grid.
- Click Format from the right toolbar.
- Under the Grid section, you can modify the following settings:
Rows - Add or remove rows from your grid. You can insert a row above or below the selected row to structure your content as needed.
Columns - Add or remove columns. Use the options to insert a column to the left or right of your selection.
Row Height - Adjust the height of rows by entering a value or using the up/down arrows. This helps you control spacing for text, images, or other elements inside the cells.
Column Width - Adjust the width of columns similarly. This is useful for fitting content neatly or maintaining consistent proportions across the grid.
Header - Configure whether your grid includes a header row or column. Options allow you to select:
Alternative Row/Column - Toggle alternating row or column styles to improve readability. This visually distinguishes adjacent rows or columns by applying different background shades.
Spacing - Control the spacing inside and between cells:
Vertical spacing adjusts the space between rows.
Horizontal spacing adjusts the space between columns.
Gridlines - Manage cell borders:
Merge Cells - Combine two or more selected cells into a single larger cell. This is useful for headings or grouping content across multiple columns or rows.
Split Cell - Split a previously merged cell back into individual cells to restore the original grid structure.
These options let you adjust the grid’s appearance and layout to your needs.
