What are Catchups in Vani?

Catchups are how you meet your teammates on video or audio calls directly inside a Space, without switching tabs or screen sharing.

Whether you're brainstorming ideas, reviewing a design, or having a quick sync, Catchups keep the conversation and content in one place. You can see your Spacemates, hear their thoughts, and watch their actions unfold on the same canvas in real time.

Catchups are designed to bring back the flow of in-person teamwork:

• Everyone sees the full Space and each other, without needing to share screens.

• You can drag, resize, and place video tiles anywhere on the canvas to keep them close to your work.

• Cursor following lets you walk through ideas together.

• All the context of your Space stays intact, before, during, and after your call.

A Catchup can be started at any time. Anyone in the Space can join in, whether they’re actively collaborating or just dropping in for a quick check-in.
