Deleting teams in an organization

In Vani, you can remove teams by moving them to Trash and permanently deleting them if needed. This is available only when working within an organization in the Business plan.

Moving a team to Trash

Team Admins can move a team to Trash when it is no longer needed.
To move a team to Trash:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open Org settings.
  3. Click Teams.
  4. Locate the team you want to remove.
  5. Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
  6. Select Trash.
  7. Click Move to Trash to confirm.

When a team is moved to Trash:

  1. All Spaces and Zones in the team are moved to Trash
  2. The team is no longer accessible to users
  3. The team will be permanently deleted after 30 days if not restored

Viewing trashed teams

You can view all trashed teams from the Teams page.
To access trashed teams:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open Org settings.
  3. Click Teams.
  4. Use the filter dropdown and select Trash.

Restoring a team

You can restore a team from Trash within the retention period.

To restore a team:
  1. Go to the Trash view in Teams.
  2. Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
  3. Select Restore.
  4. Confirm by clicking Restore again.

When restored:
  1. The team is moved back to the Teams list
  2. All Spaces and Zones are restored

Permanently deleting a team

You can permanently delete a team from Trash.

To delete a team permanently:
  1. Go to the Trash view in Teams.
  2. Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
  3. Select Delete permanently.
  4. Confirm by clicking Delete team.

When a team is permanently deleted:
  1. All Spaces and data in the team are deleted
  2. This action cannot be undone

Notes
Users are not deleted from the organization when a team is deleted.
