In Vani, you can remove teams by moving them to Trash and permanently deleting them if needed. This is available only when working within an organization in the Business plan.
Moving a team to Trash
Team Admins can move a team to Trash when it is no longer needed.
To move a team to Trash:
- Go to Settings.
- Open Org settings.
- Click Teams.
- Locate the team you want to remove.
- Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
- Select Trash.
- Click Move to Trash to confirm.
When a team is moved to Trash:
- All Spaces and Zones in the team are moved to Trash
- The team is no longer accessible to users
- The team will be permanently deleted after 30 days if not restored
Viewing trashed teams
You can view all trashed teams from the Teams page.
To access trashed teams:
- Go to Settings.
- Open Org settings.
- Click Teams.
- Use the filter dropdown and select Trash.
Restoring a team
You can restore a team from Trash within the retention period.
To restore a team:
- Go to the Trash view in Teams.
- Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
- Select Restore.
- Confirm by clicking Restore again.
When restored:
- The team is moved back to the Teams list
- All Spaces and Zones are restored
Permanently deleting a team
You can permanently delete a team from Trash.
To delete a team permanently:
- Go to the Trash view in Teams.
- Click the more options icon (three dots) next to the team.
- Select Delete permanently.
- Confirm by clicking Delete team.
When a team is permanently deleted:
- All Spaces and data in the team are deleted
- This action cannot be undone
Users are not deleted from the organization when a team is deleted.
