Understanding team roles and privileges
Team roles in Vani differ slightly based on whether you are using the Team plan or working within an organization in the Business plan.
Each role has a specific set of privileges for managing the team, inviting users, and accessing advanced settings.
How roles are assigned
- In the Team plan, users can be Super Admins, Admins, or Members. In the Business plan, users can be Admins or Members.
- The user who creates the team automatically becomes the Super Admin in the Team plan. There is no Super Admin role for teams within an organization, so the person who creates the team becomes an Team Admin.
Admins cannot change the role of a Super Admin.
To view or manage teammates, go to Team settings from the drop-down next to your team name in the top-left corner.
Organization admins in teams
- Organization admins can join any team in the organization directly
- When they join a team, they are added as a Team Admin
Roles and privileges
The Super Admin role is available only in the Team plan. In the Business plan, teams have only Admin and Member roles.

If you don’t see the option to enable external sharing for your Spaces, it may be because only Admins (and Super Admins in the Team plan) have permission o manage this setting for the team.

In Team plan, while Admins can assign roles, only the Super Admin can perform actions related to billing or certain permissions.
