Set up Vani MCP in Claude

Set up Vani MCP in Claude

Before you begin

You need:
  1. A Vani account.
  2. Access to the Vani team, Space, or Zone you want the AI assistant to work with.
  3. A Claude plan that supports connectors.
  4. The Vani MCP server URL for your Vani data center (see below).

Vani MCP server URLs

Use the URL that matches the Vani data center where your account and data are hosted.

Your Vani account and data must be in the same data center as the MCP server URL you use.

Option A — Set up from Claude Marketplace

This section will be updated once the Vani connector is available in Claude Marketplace.

Option B — Set up as a custom connector in Claude

Use this method if Vani is not yet listed in Claude Marketplace, or if you want to connect directly using your Vani data center URL.

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize (1).

  1. Open Connectors (2).

  2. Click + or Add connector (3) and select Add custom connector (4).

  1. Enter the Vani MCP server URL for your data center (5).

  2. Leave OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret in Advanced settings blank — Vani MCP handles authentication automatically.

  3. Click Add (6).

  1. Then click Connect to authenticate (7).

  1. When prompted on the Zoho Accounts page for consent, click Accept (8).

  1. Now, Vani MCP is connected to your Claude account. You can start a new chat and verify by clicking the + icon (9) and (10).

If you're on the Business plan, contact your administrator to enable the Vani MCP connector.

What happens during sign-in

When you connect Vani MCP, Claude starts a secure OAuth sign-in flow.
  1. You do not create an API key.
  2. You do not paste an access token.
  3. You do not create a client secret.
  4. Claude does not receive your Vani password.
After you approve access, Claude receives permission to call Vani MCP tools on your behalf. Vani validates each request using your Vani account and your Vani permissions.
